How To Make Kenyan Ginger Tea
The process of making this ginger tea is easy.
FIRST: In a large pot over medium heat, bring water to a boil.
SECOND: Once it comes to a boil, add black tea leaves and simmer for a minute.
THIRD: To that, add milk and ginger powder and stir with a whisk.
FOURTH: Simmer the mixture for about 5 minutes and sieve into your tea mug.
FIFTH: Add sugar to your taste and enjoy.
How To Serve Kenyan Ginger Tea
Chai ya Tangawizi is one way of starting your day and a great substitute for your morning coffee too.
It is best consumed hot or warm with some mandazi or even just as is. The addition of sugar is optional so omit it altogether if you don’t want it.
How To Refrigerate Leftover Chai Ya Tangawizi
Transfer cooled Kenyan Ginger Tea into an air-tight container like a Mason jar and store in the fridge.
Consume within 24 hours otherwise, it will not taste as good as fresh.
To Re-heat chai ya tangawizi, transfer to a small pot and bring to a boil over medium heat.
